why this site exists

i needed somewhere that connects all the things i do.

i make documentary films. i co-founded an ai editing engine called EditAssist. i run a studio in hackney with my girlfriend annika. before all that i spent years directing music videos for raye, d block europe, nothing but thieves, jme and a bunch of others. none of these are separate things. they're all the same thread.

but they lived in different places. the directing work was on squarespace. EditAssist has its own site. green place is on peerspace and instagram. if you met me on a shoot you'd have no idea i was building ai tools. if you found EditAssist you wouldn't know i'd directed a double platinum music video. that felt weird.

so this is the place where all of it lives together. the work, the ventures, the thinking, the story. not because i want to show off but because the whole picture is more interesting than any one part of it.

i started making films at 11 in lincolnshire with a borrowed video camera. worked on a cow farm. moved near london at 20 and linked up with Nine8 Collective when biig piig had a hundred plays on soundcloud. everything since then has been building on that energy. make things with the people and tools you have, keep learning, keep sharing, and try to leave things better than you found them.
